The Falls

The Falls

Built against and into the hills and mountainside itself, The Falls over looks the rest of The City of Vorhal from it’s vantage point astride the upper reaches of The River Vor. Harnessing and channeling the waters of the swift river as they crest the mountain’s edge and plummet towards the pools below, the architects of Vorhal in the late 1,200’s BQ’A were able to create an elegant system of aqueducts, channels and waterways. Homes and businesses were built along their course, and enjoy beautiful views of the city below. As the nature of such architectural endeavors requires exceptional skill, races apt at stone cutting and engineering tend to dwell here more so than others.

As it is a primarily residential district, and much of its space is occupied by waterways and coursing falls, most businesses in The Falls serve only their immediate residents and offer more day to day goods, with a few cultural exceptions. While shops may not have their own guards, they are well secured overnight, and can occasionally afford to purchase a few hundred gold worth of merchandise per month.
